Own Initial Idea

The group was at first struggling to come up with a idea, but i though instead of going straight to the idea, why not think of a tittle and then maybe go through it that way, to basically expand on the title, we did then tthink of a few and finally the title as thjought of it was 'The Chase', from this title we expanded the idea, so the idea is a chase with two main characters; a man who has just got out from prison and he is after revenge for the other character getting him into prison, this then is a part of the basis to our story and just from this idea of getting the title, I feel is one of the things which lead to our movie being made/recorded. 

Spooks 2:33-opening

-The opening of Spooks starts with the production company it is a black faded out and a white company logo comes up followed up by a tranisition of a girl.
-We see she is skipping and the next thing we realise is the clever shot and that mode is slow paced as tthe shot is in slow motion, leave her out of the scene we move with a fast zoom past a few obstacles the camrea gives us a pov shot.
-Entering the gates which leads to the next shot being inside the house, the women walks in with the first speech calling a name.
-The next scene we see the back of two people all dark, giving us a straight sense of what type of people they are, then having subtittles adds to the effect as they dont speak english, we have a clever shot with the adjustment of his ear piece and we see a ring a prop that can help for us to understand what kind of character he is.
-We then track her in the house like the sense they two other people gave of tracking her, following where she is moving but only with the hands, then we hear non-diegetic sound most likely of music.
-We keep up wiht the conversation in the house with an arrival of teh second character and we now see the two sitting in the car have hidden identities, but we establish one is a women because of teh lips and the feminine voice.
-We are finally revealed to the identity of the two in the car, the other are revealed to be coupled and the phrases said in the car lead us too other thoughts of what might be happening.
-After the speech in the car has stopped tense music arises and is building as they look in the mirror and are trracking the man and the women, we now follow what the other two were looking at.
- We are back at the overview shot of where the people are going from the house everything with their hands, we notice the shots are in slow motion again and the music is still loud we hear diegetic sound of the car and the lighting throughout is a normal London morning day with natural lighting, after closing the door we hear a non-diegetic sound maybe showing that they are going quickly.
-Clevelry we then realise where all the shots started and past the big, black, atention seeking car, we are back where to where it all began.
-With nearly all the shots with the people in the black car, their faces are shown with a closeup and again we see it with a closeup of the emotions in the faces of the people while they speak, to end it all of we see a grayscale of the people which is a very powerful technique used to show various things such as anger, revenge, with these sort in mind straight after this the normal Spooks start begins.

The Mummy

-The opening of the movie starts with the Universal, this does not have the traditional, soundtrack for Universal and instead has the tense build up music for the movie.
-The transition of the Universal globe it turns in to the sun, which works well and is effective transition
-The transition shot truns into a shot where the place is configured, we see pyramids and old egyptian buildings instantly telling us where it is set, in Egypt.
-The shot is pan and helps us to Establish the whole area and as we go past we see little things moving, puts in a place to assume they are humans and at that point we hear people and also a dog.
-As soon as the establishing and panning is over we close up to a horse and a man, we then hear a voice as well, which is a narrator.
-The main character is established and by using a narraator he is also introduced, the next character is his mistress, who is seen with the head turn, she walks in, again the palace where she walks in from is established, she is then followed in by the camera, upto the point of when they both meet.
-The camera moves back to the door she came in from and we see a third main character, the door is shut from behind.
-The first & second main character for some reason we are not sure of yet is killed and were warned by the narrator before "for their love they were willing to risk life itself.
-The music used from when she enters is all majestic and passionate manner, also if this is compared to the entrance of the third character the music shown is loud drums and a loud horn these sounds are non diegetic sounds but the door sounds moving and lound bangs are most likely diegetic sounds.
-The sounds from after the killing of the thrid mian character, we hear lound bangs as the door is being forced open, giving us the sense of alert and um a thought of who is trying to come in also we have an idea why, due to the third person be killed.
-We see what lokos like an army with another main character, walking in forcing the doors open, we see the slaves of the first main character take him away and talking of the first and second characters n Egyption most likely saying to go, run away. Meduim shots are used quite a bit we have a shot at where the emotion of the womens face are shown as the first character is leaving and it is her love and then we see the army people storming in over her shoulder.
-The army storms in and straight away we see her turn to them she says something to them as they discover the third main character is dead on the floor, she kills herself.
-As soon as she is in the process of killing her self the shot changes to behind the covers and next door with a close up we see both characters again, the pain  on his face this time where she kills her self.
-Used teice in just a 3 minute clip we see that, when their is a death happening, killing is on progress the camera moves towards others shows their emotions as well being able to see the people killing themselves but only their body shape, basically a shadow of them behind a cloak, this is very clever and useful trick.
-This then is lead to a blackening of the shot and is cleverly moved to the night shot where it is also black and then faded back in where we some lights in the distance.
-Except from the ending we see that the lighting is all at dusk with the odd dark spots but mostly with the characters all being lit up and luminent with the hint of yellow tint because it can be said as a symbolic colour of those times and we also see the flame torches lit up around all around.
-The sound consisted in the movie is a wide range with diegitic and non-diegetic, also the shots used are normal shots but used very well that you dont even realise while watching, the transitions used are also clever and effective, the costumes are realistic of those times and do show the wealth and status of the person, also there where some items included such as; swords, daggers, carts, neckalces, bracelets, head band, statues, earings, pillars, tombs, bed, helmets, body armour, paintings, decoratins, tattoo's, and rings.

Main points:-
-Starts off with blonde hair being brushed and stroked.
-The music's lyrics are on this perfect day it is a girly song with main
-Straight away the wole movie is real based over the tittle and this is proved in the first minute
-There are two contrasts switching between someone who seems to be getting ready and someone who is riding in some perfect looking place, we find out it is an envelope being being forwarded
-Also throughtout the whole movie in the opening the text of all the characters and the tittle are in a pink highlight and are in a girly font with swirls and hearts.
-The props used are all to do wiht college and girls and a lot of flowers, these are also used as a transition at one point 1:38
-The transitions leads to what seems like the other person who is getting ready and to her table where the camera pans the through the items she may have used
-The person with the card is now followd with the camera tracking, and then back to the table and then back to the card where the card is signed which is giving a bit of a hint for who the card is for
-The person getting ready now we see a banner for what she is getting ready for which is homecoming queen
-Claver tracking is made after the people downstairs have signed she moves up while you can tell the person going to homecoming is nearly ready as putting perfume, where its usually spayed near to the end of you being ready
-Then after all the signing and for the card to be finally passed on where it is given maybe a kiss as a good luck and the card is passed under the door, the camera follows over the door to track the letter
-Straight as this letter is passed you hear a bark and then the girl speaking, you straight away realise that there is merely any speech throughout the opening of the sequence
-The dog species is a chiwawa a dog mainly owned by girls and it is showing the type of movie and character, also the dog takes the letter and is tracked by the camera and passes the letter to the girl comes off the phone and takes the letter from the dog.
-The girl send a blow heart and this tracked as if it actually their when its not and is followed to the person we are revealed to a guy in a frame who is obviously then shown to be a crush or a date.

CSI:NY

The CSi:NY starts with a thrilling scene of darkness with scattered light which shows Det.Mac taylor is underground, he has his gun out to show he is looking/after someone also he has other arm on his stomach by the time we establish this the camera zooms in to give us a closer look and we establish blood on his arm, after this we hear drops of something then again the camera helps us to establish what it is, it was drops of water, the tension is building up the Det. is looking more and more weary and cautious with his every footstep as the camera establishes this for us when it zooms towards his feet with this the camera almosts tracks his steps for a few seconds, we then come in to the meduim shot where the Det.'s face is shown to show the emotions which are running through with him, it can show him being anxious, maybe a bit scared, also quite injured and quite alert.
After this straight away we have a location establishing wide shot, where we see the actual underground place, the camera then tracks and can be said as pan, with the camera being behind the pillars it also adds a sense of effect and out of no where we see the person the Det. is after he looks like a mysterious, dangerous character from the first site, then straight away we see a shot where the two of the characters are shown, this shot shows that the Det. is getting closer and that the other figure, the bad guy, who looks is most definately a bad guy is getting prepared the shot goes to a close up of his hands holding the guns in both of his hands and his fingers getting ready on the trigger, the camera shows a shot where both are shown but in a nearly reflection sort of shot where, the bad guy steps forward, where we now know it is time where action will start and this is the part to which all the tensions has lead too, the step is mis- heard and the Det. looks the other, we see an over the shoulder shot to show this, the Det. looks back by the time he understands he has made a mistake and looked the other way, the camera goes to the bad guy shows him holding the gun and him pointing at the Det. then zooms in once shows the steadiness of the bad guy shooting the gun and then zooms again at the exact point of the shot from the gun and from this the whole start of CSI:NY starts with the transition form the gun to the NY city with most likely it bieng a helicopter shot.

Question 2.

Feed the fish


This is my groups preliminary task consisting of; Ashad, Shehryar and Zainab. The task was called 'feed the fish'.
The way we adapted to the script we were given is something i really liked, then from there we moved on to acting it out, the characters we used, the costumes, the camera shots these brought the overall project to life. I feel that it was mostly performed well but, with a few tweaks here and there we would have made it even better. Things that we did not get right was, the time we put into our editing, not all shots were as smooth, even though the camera shots were. Also at the beginning, the end scene cuts into it, this is due to the lack of editing we did and was one of the minor acknowledgements of this.
Apart from a couple of these sort of minor things i think it has worked very well and the group really did put in a lot of effort to bring this all together, the transitions for tittles, the music was a very good choice,  the shots were good as well they worked with the storyline and the script, the lighting was decent, the costumes were good worked well to show authority.
I feel that through this task i have learnt the basics of doing this sort of project, i was involved in editing, through this i learnt a number of things, especially through imovie, the next thing was using the camera and i had a chance for this as well, learning to be clever with the shots and keeping the camera steady without a tripod felt to be quite tricky, aslo in sound, finding the perfect sound to go with the footage and then to raise and lower the sounds at different times.
Overall it was a succesful project, with many things learnt although, still many to learn but mainly the project had gone very good.
