Opening Sequence- Rundown

This is our final movie, that we have placed on Youtube as well, we made this movie in a group of 3 consisting of; Ashad, Shehryar(me) and lastly Vithush. Overall our movie has taken us about a month, throughout this time period we have accomplished and learnt a lot including; Camera work/shots, Editing, Directing, Sound, Storyboarding and many other points as well. The processes that we started with looking into making this movie were; location, the actual story, actors, timing for when to shoot and when to edit.

Starting off with camera, i guess that we took around two days and a few hours every day. From the start we had planned to try out a range of different shots for multiple scenes, trying to get the best out of the camera work, also we planned to work as fast as possible while shooting. Once we saw we had enough footage, we went straight on to Final cut, this brings us to editing.
The editing stage is where, we spent the most time, which was in a way necessary as well, we felt that editing will get our movie to best of our abilities, but, there was a problem we were new to the programme and had absolutely no experience in Final cut, although we faced this problem, but due to us finishing the shooting considerably quickly, we were able to use trial and error, also with a little guidance form Michael-technician, we have achieved some pretty good editing. We did face a problem or two with the editing because of some change, but had overcome this problem with a bit of thought and guidance.

A brief description of the storyline, it is that of a ex-gang member that is being chased by a current gang member who had been snitched on. The overall movie is then situated around these two strong, main characters on this and the actual overall chase. The genre in this movie would be classed in action. The reason for this will be because of our fast paced theme, which is shown throughout and shown through the intense chase scenes, also due to our special cliff hanger ending which involves a blackout and a gun shot, leaving a very large question for the viewer to answer.

Overall i am actually very pleased about  the outcome of our Opening sequence. Even whilst having ups and downs throughout i felt that we have accomplished a lot. Having said myself i think we have made a very nice opening sequence including, a good range of shots, good lighting, costumes, actors, story, location lighting could have been better, good editing and a good ending.
